Silverlight can be used to create wonders on the web. Here I provide my handpicked collection of best Silverlight Photo Gallery Applications that can be used to create wonderful photo galleries.

 

1. Slide.Show

Slide.Show is an open source Silverlight control for publishing highly-customizable photo slideshows on the Web.

 

2. Silverlight 3 Photo Gallery Wall Application

Why wait? Silverlight 3 saved me a lot of trouble - the bitmap effects make perfect drop shadows with nice, soft edges, no imperfectly-shaped paths or duplicate text fields. I also get perspective transforms, so now I can build out the panels along a flat plane, and rotate the entire panel into 3D. One more new feature I used was the ImageCompleted event. No more image "popping" when a storyboard starts before an image is fully loaded.

 

3. Silverlight Slide Show (using Pixel Shader effects)

 

Silverlight 3 is now fact, and it introduces a lot of new functionalities. One of the things that we have been missing in Silverlight 2 was the element effects. If you want to make your elements more attractive then you need to write your own custom effects. You can use this application to share photos that stored in your server with your friends easily. You may now download it to play.

The Silverlight Photo Album is a Library used to display Photos in Silverlight. It currently contains 2 different Layouts: Horizontal and Vertical. It is designed to be flexible, so there will come much more layouts in the future!
